Brookline
Music School’s Term II (Spring) programs begin January 29, 2013,
offering a variety of classes and private instruction for all ages and
abilities. Term II runs for 15 weeks. Programs offered include early
childhood music and movement, dance, group classes, ensembles, and
Suzuki flute and violin groups.
The school introduced a folk
music program that offers group classes for adults and family jams.
Music for iPad classes include Garageband for iPad and iPad Band! Early
childhood programs were expanded by
offering classes for mixed ages, intergenerational classes, Introduction
to Instruments and music classes for special needs, in addition to the
introduction of Dalcroze Eurhythmics classes for ages 4 to 9 years.
Dance classes for kids have also been expanded by offering Ants in the
Pants Yoga & Dance, and Modern Dance, in addition to Pre-Ballet,
Ballet, Creative Dance, Sibling Dance, and Dance Ensembles for boys and
girls. Dance and yoga programs for adults are now being offered.
Parents
and caretakers can now drop off the kids at school and start their day
with relaxation with Beginning Gentle Yoga, and Vinyasa Flow Yoga in the
morning or they can stretch it out before picking up the kids at school
with Adult Dance Stretch & Strength, in the afternoon.
Jazz/Rock, and Chamber Ensembles are offered year-round for kids, teens
and adults. Ensembles provide a unique opportunity to experience the
joys of music making with others. Brookline Music School has a wide
array of ensembles for all ages and abilities - with multiple
performance opportunities - catering to a variety of musical abilities
and interests.
Brookline Music School is located at 25 Kennard
